Our New Facility In Exeter Opens October 2011

We are so proud of purchasing and outfitting our new Community Assistance Center located at 53 Lincoln Street in Exeter NH.  After a long search and after considering a thousand options, members of SVdP Exeter and it’s Board of Directors agreed to purchase a former bank branch building in a section of the town being scheduled for revitalization.  And so, equipped with a new mortgage and a firm will, we began to move the pantry and offices from our prior location on Linden Street to this new spot.  New and improved features include:

• Most important client operations now are on one floor.
• Ample storage space and equipment for more food and additional food offerings
• An electrically operated lift to bring products to and from the basement
• Meeting rooms affording privacy and confidentiality
• Extremely energy efficient design
• Plus many more…

We received a lot of help to accomplish this, much of it on a volunteer basis, including construction help from local tradesmen, moving help from local schools, hundreds of hours of volunteer time to paint, clean up, remove debris and renovate.
